Winston has a collection of pine cones which he collected during our many nature walks. He keeps them in a basket on his table. This weekend Penelope managed to get to the basket. She took the pine cones out of the basket and spread them around the living room. Winston initially followed her around picking them up and placed them back in the basket but Penelope wouldn't give up. She kept taking them out until he finally got mad and I had to to take them away.
Penelope is now an expert crawler which has proven to be a challenge. She moves quickly around the house and is not shy about getting what she wants. Lately she's been wanting to play with the exact same toy as Winston and will reach over and take it right out of his hands. This weekend she kept trying to play with Winston's trains.
She's also learned to say "agua, this and si". Oh, and she can wave bye-bye and blow kisses.
Penelope got her two top teeth during our short trip to LA.
Yesterday Winston collected plums from the tree in his grandparents backyard. We used half of them to make plum jam and Penelope ate half of the rest. She took one bite from each plum and then threw them around her.
The jam came out bitter but tomorrow we will try again with a different recipe.
We are in Orange County visiting the grandparents and decided to take the kids to the beach. Penelope had a lot of fun playing with in the water.
