Visiting Nick & Liza
This weekend we went to see Nick & Liza's new place. Penelope crawled everywhere including the backyard. Winston played table tennis with Nick and was sad when we told him we were done playing.

Pictures of the Week
This weekend we went to the newly reopened California Academy of Science. The new building is spacious, full of sunlight, with glass walls surrounding a central atrium. It's beautiful.
Penelope really liked theaquarium exhibit while Winston enjoyed the reptile section and the Wii games. The white crocodile did not impress Winston; he was more interested in making sure that we all saw and took pictures of the giant turtle. I was impressed with The African Hall "of Stuffed Animals." The cafeteria food was delicious definitely worth the wait. We are coming back again soon.

Learning to Walk
Penelope has started to take steps; today she took 6 consecutive steps before falling down.
Penelope ate her last fava beans for this season. We've stretched the season as far as we could.

Painting
Penelope loves to paint unfortunately for me she is a very messy painter. I have to make sure that she paints on a different night from Winston because otherwise I will have one huge mess to clean up.

Growing
On our recent trip to LA to visit the grandparents Penelope learned to push her toy around. She can get herself everywhere with this push toy. A couple times we caught her harassing the dog which by the way Winston renamed because he didn't like his old name. The dog's new name is loula.
Penelope also discovered that she really likes chocolate cake. We had a small cake to celebrate Tio's birthday.
