San Diego Zoo
Pictures from our trip to the San Diego Zoo over Christmas. We were fortunate to go on a day that wasn't busy. There wasn't a line to see the pandas and to top it off the baby panda was in a good and friendly mood. Andy got some good videos of the panda climbing and running around.

Garland
We made a garland for the Christmas tree with popcorn and dried cranberries. Penelope couldn't stop eating the cranberries even after they were on the tree. Needless to say the garland didn't last very long.
Christmas Toys
Winston and Penelope have been very good about sharing their toys.
Penelope got the tree with the birds and the mother and father. The blocks are for their marble run which they both love to play with.

Keeping up with Peh
Penelope collected acorns and then decided to cook for the squirrels. She even remember to add salt and pepper.
After she was done cooking for the squirrels she decided that Winston's tricyle needed a washing. She starting 'washing' the tricyle with mud. Winston objected but Penelope insisted on cleaning the tricycle.
While I helped Winston clean his tricycle Penelope found and put on her rain boots. She then asked to go to the coffee shop but eventually settled for slices of watermelon.
After her bath she asked for a sliced apple. I thought was going to eat them but she had other plans. She said she was going to cook them for the birds.

Penelope once again has outgrown her clothes. She now wears 12-18 months at 4 months. Every couple weeks we have to buy her a new clothes especially undershirts. She wears size 3 diapers and very soon will need to change to size 4.

Cuatro meces
Ayer Penélope cumplió cuatro meces. Es una niña muy despierta, risueña y muy tranquila. En los últimos meces ha crecido bastante. Ya pesa 20 libras (9 kg). Por las noches le gusta que nos acostemos con ella en la cama y le digamos cosas. Después se duerme por unos 45 minutes. Sólo por las noches, a última hora, se pone un poco más impaciente y tengo que cargarla.
En las mañanas despierta y balbucea mucho. Casi nunca llora. Es todo un lujo. Nos encanta mucho verla esforzándose por hablar. Bañarla es un encanto pues le encanta bañarse. Si pudiera se quedaría en la tina (bañera) por horas. Cuando Penélope ve a su hermano lo ve con una vista muy seria absorbiendo todo lo que él hace pero nunca le sonríe.

Almost Three Months
Penelope got her vaccines (three injections) yesterday and didn't even cry. I came home worry that she might have a reaction but she just slept.

I took some pictures of Penelope all dressed up but didn't notice she was missing her shoes until I was reviewing the pictures.
Betty made the hair clip and sent it to Penelope along with a beautiful hand knitted blanket.
