Moon

Winston was fascinated tonight with the full moon. He kept asking what had happen to the moon. He wanted to know what the pattern of light and dark areas were. It was cute.

We watched the moon until Penelope got tried.

Mischievous Winston

Today during our evening walk Winston decided to carry a white paper bag filled with a cookbook, Baker's chocolate, stir fry noodles, cars, a sippy cup as well as two disposable cups. It was totally strange and I couldn't stop laughing.

Earlier in the evening he tried to empty one of the shelves in the pantry but got stuck. All I saw were two feet sticking out...Minutes after I took him down he got pancake mix all over the floor. Then as I was feeding Penelope he filled up the sink with water and it overflew it. We had a busy evening but likely he went to bead early.

Homemade Pizza

This morning we woke up with nothing to do so Winston and I agreed to make pizza. While I cooked breakfast Winston worked on the sourdough starter (water and flour). Then we headed off to the Farmer's Market to pick up Penelope's basket, pepperoni, and vegetables for the pizzas. Winston got broccoli, he likes how the vegetable looks but doesn't eat it, tomato, zucchini and grapes. I got fava beans for my pizza however, Penelope ate them all -I am surprise she liked them.

Although we used a very simple recipe the crust was fantastic.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups sourdough starter (1 c flour and 1 c warm water. If you want, you can add a little yeast to "boost" it. )
3 olive oil
salt
1 1/2 cups flour - plus a little more or less to adjust consistency

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 500°F. Mix the sourdough starter, salt and flour with 1 tbsp of olive oil until it forms a ball. sald and

2. Allow dough to rest for 30 minutes and roll out mixture.

3. Pre-bake the crust for about 7 minutes, then remove from oven and brush the top of crusts with olive oil before adding your toppings. Cook until browned and cheese is melted.

I blanched the broccoli and fava beans before adding them to the pizzas.

Winston Talk

Today in the car while we drove to the Farmer's Market Winston accidentally poked his eye. He said "I pica my oso" as he pointed to his eye. He got oso (bear) confused with ojo (eye).

A lot his sentences are mixture of English and Spanish For example, this morning a hummingbird was flying around in backyard. He got very excited and started yelling "bird, ven (come) I have a casa(house) for you to sleep."
