Deer

This was a conversation I overheard between Winston and Andy.
Winston: Why are you building the fence?
Andy: So the deer don't come in

Winston: Why do the deer come in?
Andy: To eat the flowers

Winston: Why do they eat the flowers?
Andy: Because they are hungry

Winston: Why are they hungry?
Andy: Why does Winston get hungry?

Winston: Pauses and thinks very hard and then replies "but I don't eat flowers"

Funny Phrases

Winston is doing a lot of talking now and sometimes he says some funny things. I will be adding those classic moments to the blog so that I don't forget them.

Twig Raft

Winston and I made a twig raft using the branches from the apple tree. Amazingly the raft floated. Winston tested it with his small cars and kept trying to get his big cars to float. He now has discovered that his big cars can float in his big sail boat.

By the way, the best way is to add three horizontal twigs to keep the vertical twigs from moving and rope is better than ribbon.

His big rig carried the the left over twigs.

The double rainbow looked gorgeous standing in our backyard. I tried getting a picture but between my lack of skills and having to answer questions about the rainbow I could barely keep up.

Straberry Jam

My mom and I took Winston and Penelope strawberry picking. Winston was too worried about his muddy shoe to enjoy the picking. Penelope on the other hand had a blast. She ate so much and somehow still managed to come out with a full basket of strawberries.

The next day we made homemade strawberry jam. Winston even reserved one jar for Ai...
