Currently Reading

Before Thanksgiving Winston wanted My Car to be read to him every night at least twice but after Thanksgiving it has been all about Cars (Pixar). He carries that book everywhere and will sleep with it along with his two toy cars of Dinico McQueen and Fillmore.

Andy and I have read the Cars book so many times that we have the entire book memorized.

Currently Reading: My Baseball Book

Winston latest obsession is his baseball book written by Gail Gibbons, "My Baseball Book." The book is an introduction to baseball and has great cartoon illustration with very little text.

His current favorite page is the baseball diamond illustration. He runs his finger from home plate, to first, second, third and back to home plate and says 'home-run.' Past favorite pages include the pitcher throwing to the catcher, the umpire calling an out and the page that shows a ball being caught by an outfielder.

We usually go to story time at the library on Saturdays and sometimes on Monday night. Each time we go he goes to the information desk and will say 'baseball book' to the librarian. The librarians think this is so cute that every time they indulge him and find him another baseball book but so far this is his favorite.

After getting his book he wants to use the computer! He will find an empty computer terminal, arrange the stool, sit and begin typing. He even moves the mouse. Thankfully you can't use the computer unless you type in your library card.

New Book

Taro Gomi has a new book out and Winston loves it.

I like the Gomi books because they are always funny and the illustrations are modern and cute. This makes it easier to read the book over and over again.
