Zucchini
Winston planted zucchini and cantaloupe. He is very excited to see the cauliflower in our vegetable garden grow. He checks it every time he goes out to water the onions and will comment on the growth.

We took Winston skiing for the first time this year and he loved it.
Earlier this year we started a new tradition of having fresh flowers or herbs on Winston's table. Winston enjoys buying and take care of the flowers and they are also a good source of inspiration.
Since we were in LA this past weekend we didn't have flowers for his table. We decided to cut some from the tree in our backyard. Winston is excited to buy flowers this weekend.
It was another hot today in the Bay Area. Winston used his PlaySilk to cover his face while standing very close to the AC.
Playsilks are wonderful "toys." When we go out for walks he puts one around his neck or on a pole to watch it fly in the wind. In the house he finds endless ways to play with it. I can't believe how much entertainment a simple piece of cloth can bring to a toddler.
In the last three weeks Winston has been learning and using about three new words a day. It's very hard to keep up with him. At times he gets angry because we don't understand him and ask him to repeat it or to show us. I wanted to jot down some of the more common words/phrases he is saying now.
"es funny or it's funny" - he switches between these two
"I want to watch cement truck blow" - when he wants to watch the mythbuster's episode where they blow up a cement truck.
"I don't know this" - when you ask him a question that he doesn't have an answer to
"don't know why" - when you ask him why did something he wasn't suppose to
"it's dark" - when it's dark outside or when we down on the garage at the grocery store
"oh no, let's play wii" - when he wants to play Super Mario brothers on Wii
"otro wii" - when he wants another wii game
"it's Winston" - used to remind us that certain toys or foods are his.
"it's done"
"go"
"stop"
"okay"
"mas" - more
"wow"
"I want to watch (gabba, clifford, bars) - "yo gabba gabba", "mythbusters"
"i'm hot"
"i don't want"
"I want to pee"
"I want bath"
"I want to make this" - He comes says that holding one of the Magic bullet cups when he wants to make a licuado.
Winston is learning to put on his shoes unfortunately he is very stubborn and keeps putting the shoe on the wrong foot.
Last week I showed Winston that he could use the camera on my cell. Yesterday morning I told him to stay put that I was going to get the camera to take pictures of Penelope. When I came back he was already taking pictures of her with the cell phone.
Winston loves to help out in the kitchen. While we are cooking he will help out with simple tasks such as pouring ingredients, mixing his cookie/cake mix, and beating eggs. It does take longer to finishes but seeing how much he enjoys participating makes it worth the extra time. Plus it's a great way to entertain him while we cook.
This past Thanksgiving he was asking his grandma to let him stir the eggs unfortunately he was using all three languages and it took us some time to figure out what he was saying.
Winston used the colorful spatulas and the trash can to wake everybody up.
