Tide Pools

We like to take Winston to the marine reserve near us but all he wants to do is throw rocks. He gets grossed out by the tide pool sculpins (small fishes) and giant green sea anemones.

Last time we went we saw a lot sea stars but this time we saw mostly Hermit crabs and sea anemones.

Happy Easter

We took Winston to see the Easter Bunny arrive by helicopter at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos. Of course, we are too lazy to wait in line for candy but we did take him to see the European model train exhibit which was also taking place at Hiller.

Painting

This weekend Winston and I decided to paint outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. I painted a canvas with chalk paint for Winston and he tried to copy mine.

New Bed

The grandparents are coming to visit and now we need the extra bed so Winston is being downgraded from a CA King to a twin bed. Before buying his bed we had him choose his sheets. He chose a design with blast off rocket ships.

I like to let Winston go crazy on the cardboard before recycling it. This is the box his bed came in. Notice his flower pot.

Winston and his plants

Over the weekend Winston saw an episode of Clifford where they planted flowers and wanted his own flowers. We walked to local nursery and had him choose two flower plants. We were suppose to replant them but he has been carrying them everywhere and won't let us touch them.

He took the flowers up to the bathroom and placed them on his stool so he could see them while he was in the tub.

Later he asked that we put the flowers on the table as he ate his dinner. While eating his udon he kept an eye on the flowers.

I really don't know what we will do when they die. They don't get any sun and we can't water.

Making Choclate Chip Muffins

Last night Winston made gluten-free chocolate chip muffins for Sara and Aileen. They were actually tasty.

Here are pictures of Winston preparing the mix.
