Hitting

When Winston hits I tell him that I need to warm up his hands because cold hands hit. This usually will make him stop. Tonight after I had warmed up his hands he ran to the bathroom and turned on the cold water then came back and said his hands were cold ready for hitting. Cleary, I need to think of a different punishment.

Zucchini

Winston planted zucchini and cantaloupe. He is very excited to see the cauliflower in our vegetable garden grow. He checks it every time he goes out to water the onions and will comment on the growth.

We used plastic eggs, wool roving and dish soap. Next time I will be adding glue to the center seams to keep them from separating during the wrapping of the wool roving. To dry them I put them in an old sock and put them in the dryer for 20 minutes.

Skechers

Winston has been asking to get a pair of Skechers for sometime. I told him that they are only sold in other countries.

This morning he wanted to know where yaya was so I explained to him that she was in Russia. He asked what Russia was and I said that it was a country very far away and then he put the two statements together. He said that since Russia was a country far away they must sell Sketchers and since yaya is there she can bring him a pair.

Birds

On our last hike we were lucky to witness a parent bird teaching her fledglings how to fly. Later Winston asked for his own bird. He wanted to reenact what he had seen during the hike.

Clown Face

While I was cooking dinner Winston offered to help me make the bread. While I was putting the bread in the oven he took the flour and covered his face. He said he was painting his face like a clown.

Bulbs

Back in late September Winston and Penelope planting bulbs on the side of the house. For the fist couple weeks they would go and check on them daily and then as time past they forgot all about them. Recently while planting the raspberry plants Winston noticed that the bulbs were starting to bloom. As of this weekend, we had lots and lots of Narcissus blooming. Unfortunately Winston doesn't want to cut them.

Pizzas

Winston has become very good at taking his started dough and adding the right amount of flour to make his pizza dough. His kneading skills have also improved. He can now make pizza on his own but I have to be his assistant to cut the veggies and get him whatever he needs otherwise we will end up with tomatoe sauce all over our kitchen cabinets.
