Pictures from today's hike

Winston found a cucumber beetle which he thought was a green lady bug. After spending some time playing with it he looked up and realized that Penelope was going to win the race. Everything is a race lately.

Winston and this squirrel have declared war over the bird feeder.

Winston actually thought that he had outsmarted the squirrel when he came up with the idea of cutting down the branch where the squirrel sits and eats the food but then one morning, as he was eating his breakfast, he saw that the squirrel was hanging upside down eating the food. He was so angry that he ran outside in cold to scare the squirrel and when the squirrel fell down from the tree he kept asking if the squirrel was dead.

For now he has stopped putting food in the bird feeder but just today he was asking about putting cooking oil on the branch. He has also been wondering how he can take all the acorns that are hidden underground in our front yard and thrown them away. All this because he doesn't want to squirrel to come back.

Winston was more excited than Andy when he went last week to buy the iPad. He couldn't resist playing with it at the coffee shop.

He knows his way around the touch-screen interface pretty well and has even figured out Andy's password.
