Preschool

Winston will start going to preschool twice a week for a couple hours in February. Today, we had our first dry run. I dropped him off and within 15 minutes I was back to pick him up. He was crying and wanted to go back home. Tomorrow I will drop him off again and hopefully this time he will last longer. We will keep doing this for the next two weeks or until he is ready to stay there for the entire session.

Mythbusters Video

Apparently the show does not have enough explosions for Winston. He now likes to watch this video clip. Fortunately it has good music and I don't mind playing it over and over for him. He dances to the song!

Winston & Penelope

This picture was taken in December 2007. Clearly, Penelope didn't want Winston to hold her.

About Winston

Winston is finally adjusting to having a baby sister. He is back to eating dinner at the dinner table with us and has stopped crying when we turn off the tv. In fact, after his show is over we can ask him to hand us the remote control and he does without crying or complaining.

Things that he says:
"that's funny"
"I watch x" - mostly 'I watch clifford'
"bye, I mommy and daddy" - to his nanny when he wants her to leave or she is leaving.
"I hurt this" - when he hurts himself
"I'm bored this"- when he doesn't want to watch whatever is on tv
up-a-te- for sit here
"i want this"
"train come here" - when he hears the train or when we see/cross train tracks
"no thanks" - whenever who ask him a question and the answer is no
"cars shirt"- when he wants to wear his "Cars" movie shirts
"apatos/shoes" - when he wants his shoes
"train cup" - sippy cup
"tomorrow" - when he doesn't want to do something and doesn't want to say "no"

Car Explosion

I am not sure how Winston started watching Mythbusters but he loves that show. The main reason he likes it is that they are always exploding something. His favorite episode is the one where they blow up a kid's parents' car the Hollywood way and the real way which is what he is watching in this video clip. The clip is about six months old.

Feliz Día de Reyes

This year Winston got a pair of rain boots and the 'rosca' was mailed to us by my parents. It was yummy.

January 6th marks the Epiphany or 12th day of Christmas. According to Biblical tradition, this was the day that three kings, Melchior, Gaspar and Baltazar, visited the baby Jesus bringing him three gifts, gold, frankincense and myrrh.
